Poll question: 9/11 Was PREVENTABLE
Edited on Mon May-23-05 03:25 PM by Stephanie

If only President Cuckoobananas had gotten off his vacationing butt and done something about the many, many urgent warnings he received.

(In response to the recent Pew Poll that shows Bush's only strength is his handling of "terrorism.")

8. It took the Air Force fighters only 20 minutes...
to find Payne Stewart's plane in 1999. You can't tell me that our Air Force is THAT incompetent on the day that our country was attacked.

12. Things were "in motion" and they were told to stand down.
And how did the plane get close to the Pentagon?

He must have, otherwise automatically triggered defense mechanisms would have stopped FOUR hijacked aircraft which went off their course for hours.

9. Kamikaze pilots in WWII, and NOBODY envisioned a jet as a missile?
Well, this was their first excuse on record. "Nobody ever thought anyone would use a jetliner as a guided missile"

What a load of crap. They expected us to believe that the military, and the entire intelligence community world wide had forgotten about the Kamikaze pilots in WWII.

In fact, the WTC was designed to survive and airline impact, so obviously the designers could conceive of it.

Just about everything publicized in the media about this attack, and the war afterward is bullshit. The bushtapo knew full well in advance of this disaster, and they let it all happen to justify a war for mineral wealth.

To believe anything else is insane.

10. Bush was handed the Hart-Rudman Report on Global Terror on Jan 30, 2001.
He refused to read the 2 1/2 year study of terror that also included URGENT proposals for homeland security.

Why voters did not hold Bush accountable is beyond me.

13. We have LOST the war on terror. Just wake up and look around you!
No political leader will ever admit defeat. Even Saddam Hussein was declaring victory as US Troops were marching into Baghdad.

We are losing our freedoms, and this loss grows every day. We have traded some freedom off, for this added security. It was Ben Franklin who said that anybody who trades freedom for security....will get neither.

14. Even short of Mihop/Lihop, Dubya was asleep at the switch.
And Cheney had messed up Norad's responses.

And the whole damn Administration closed its ears to any knowledge stemming from the Clinton Administration.

15. I marked "disagree", because I personally feel
that although 9/11 could and should have been prevented by any rational person, I believe that it happened because it had to in order to suit the BushCo agenda.

So, in that sense, I would almost say unpreventable.

What I mean is, I don't think it happened because BushCo wasn't paying attention.

It happened because they didn't want or care to stop it.

17. Then I should reword the question
If he did not want or care to stop it, but could have, then it was preventable.

I also believe he sat on his butt for a reason. No need to change your answer. It was still preventable.

Saying that it was preventable doesn't imply that you think Bush didn't want it.

That is,

It was preventable, but just wasn't prevented.

I think it was planned because key players were conveniently away at the time. It's time to investigate the Saudi connection here.

31. His administration was briefed by Sandy Berger
shortly after he was appointed by the SCOTUS. They KNEW Bin Ladin was a danger and chose to shelve the info because it came from that silly silly Bill Clinton administration. Rice IGNORED it. The idiot-in-chief had vacationed for what? 45 days? (can't remember) Yes, 911 is all this cabal's fault....on purpose, I might add. They NEEDED their "Pearl Harbor" to further their PNAC agenda. Amazing how they got it, isn't it?

So why is George Bush getting high approval numbers on terrorism? Do they mean he's good at letting terrorism happen?
