Just watched a little of Peter Paul & Mary on PBS, now I'm depressed.
I miss the 60's. I miss hearing songs like "Where have all the flowers gone", and "Blowin' in the wind". I miss how much people seemed to give a damn. I miss how people felt like they could actually change things. Mind you, I was only a kid, but I remember that feeling, and feeling like I couldn't wait to be older so I could be a part of it. Now I just worry about paying the bills, and trying to keep my kids safe in this nutty place. sigh. Thank God for DU. At least here, it feels a little like the 60's again. Peace.

1. I miss how people let the 60s go once they started raising kids.
Well, that and the other reasons why people stopped standing up for themselves...

2. "Blowin' in the Wind".....
I hated the way the record company took Dylan's song and literally gave to PP&M though. Dylan wasn't considered "folksy" enough. :wtf:
Oh well, Bob got his due in the end.

6. Someone sang
"Blowin in the wind" at our local karaoke a couple weeks back, I was in the back as soon as I heard it I got up and walked closer to the stage. It really hit me about where we're at. Why can't everyone see the parallels >
