"The Boss" Bruce Springsteen
Edited on Sun May-22-05 09:34 AM by Botany
Sunday morning on CBS just did a great piece on him.

The man is flat out good ..... I have to go and buy his new CD
now.

I loved his rockers but the album Nebraska w/ and the song about the
Cop and his "bad" brother has stuck w/ me for years. It is like an old
friend.

"Me and Frankie laughing and drinking......"

So if anybody reading this knows Bruce thank him for me.

3. when I saw Bruce during the "Born in the USA" tour . . .
(I think it was my third or fourth Springsteen concert), the show included an acoustic interlude during which he did several numbers from "Nebraska," including "Highway Patrolman" and "Johnny 99" . . . showed me a whole different aspect of his work, and I ran out the next day to buy the album . . . great stuff . . .

4. Nebraska's One Of My Favorite Albums

"Nothin's better than blood on blood, takin' turns dancin' w/ Maria..."

He did that whole album all by himself on a 4-track.

6. and to #3 too
I can't find "Nebraska" now ..... must get CD

I haven't heard that song in 15 years but ......

"....... and I pulled over and watched his tail lights disappear."

I always thought that song was as close to a "Perfect Movie" sung
but not shown on a screen.

so Bruce if you are out there? Drop by and blog a spell ......
