This is a quote from * in regards to his potential forthcoming veto on the stem cell research vote. I'll post a link to the article, but I have a general question (which I hope I don't get flamed for, as I'm not that well educated in the stem cell debate such that I should attempt debating anything). What is the reason behind the Bush/fundie hatred of stem cell research? My understanding is that they create an embryo in a lab by injecting sperm into an egg. That's not exactly procreation. Is their stance really "any sperm meeting any egg is life" or something close to that? Maybe I'm misinformed.

Any help is appreciated.

I'll also say this, when the fuck did it start to matter what HE is against. Doesn't he represent the voice of the people? Oh, wait...I forgot where I was.
