1. It'll self-destruct...
It will self-destruct behind the scenes, but we'll never see it.

2. It's the economy stupid...
Let's face it...it will take people to be in absolute financial ruin to figure out that something needs to be done about these people....whether our constitution is being used like a piece of toilet paper by the Bush administration doesn't matter, but hey, effect people's wallets and have them on the street or ruined, and you'll see more action and uprise happening in this country than ever before....

His Daddy didn't get it, and he doesn't get it....Soon enough when Americans are all suffering (and suffer badly they will), then Americans will get it....

6. it will come from the place you least expect it and would never have
guessed.

Like Newt and his drive to cut the budget. When it was happening, Newt was being portrayed as the guy who was out to stop government waste. He had just done his Contract With America shit to very good press. It produced dozens of wonderful soundbites.

I thought the take over had happened then and it was just a matter of time before our country went totally over to the dark side. I also thought Clinton, who the press harped on every day, would look like the bad guy and would be blamed for shutting down the government.

I can't tell you how shocked I was that Americans got it right and brought Newt to his knees.

I also would never have guessed that Clinton would have a 70% approval rating all throughout the impeachment trial. Again, Americans got it even though the GOP and the press were portraying Clinton as the bad guy.

I think one thing we need is a charismatic leader on our side. If you look at it in the cool light of day, JFK, FDR, Clinton, Reagan and W (although its hard to see it with the last two, it definately is there) are all beloved not necessarily for what they did but because they were charismatic. It could be because we are shallow but it might just be definitional. We are drawn to charismatic people.

What that portends is that W might not be taken out as we'd all like but it could mean we win big in 2006 and even if they win the WH in 2008 it will only be for one term.

We need to begin the search for a charismatic leader on our side, even if its an empty suit.

7. David Koresh, Jim Jones, and Charles Manson
were charasmatic to certain populations.
Scary, isn't it?

11. agreed, that's why I HATE that it appears only charasmatic
people can be popular presidents. So much potential for abuse.

14. I do agree with
it coming from nowhere. It'll happen when we least expect it. If there is supposed to be a charismatic leader on our side again they'll come to us. If not then we go with what we have.

8. I don't see the economic situation getting bad enough soon enough
They've been somewhat careful in inserting all the really big budget busters into the out years--after 2006. The economy will probably continue to limp along enough for the next few years to let them maintain their 40% in the polls.

The Democrats need to be hammering on the long term disaster that this criminal gang has guaranteed our economy. If we don't do that now, when we do get back into the driver's seat, we will be blamed for the coming collapse, not the real architects--Busholini and his clown college.

9. Well, I am increasingly concerned with their thingy with absolute power.
They repeatedly prove themselves willing to go pretty damn far to secure it and keep it.

So, I hesitate to predict WHAT it would take to bring the neoCONs to their knees. I hate the thought that it would require a military coup,...but, that possibility has actually entered my thoughts. Just five and a half years ago, those thoughts did NOT exist.

13. From what I'm seeing
these people don't think about the future. Just the "now." Eventually all their lies will catch up to them. When is the question. And if that fails my second choice is Britian. Of course I doubt that.
