I'm meeting more & more Christians who are FED UP with FundaMENTALists
since reagan invited them to the party for their votes, they've gotten the idea that they can now overtake the globe. and the throat shoving snake handlers are feeling quite cocky.

"I" cannot get through to them, i've tried, and failed, and given up.

however, you good christians, who outnumber the assholes 99 to 1, can. now is the time for all GOOD CHRISTIANS to come to the aid of their country.

1. I am a Christian, but I cannot get through to any of them, either.
There is no reasoning with them. They are right and that is that.

Some of them are in my family, too. It is useless. All we can do is denounce and contain them

2. I think all the far right groups are nuts.
We should put them all in one place and let them fight it out on who is really Gods people. And what God is the best. I never could go some half crazy preacher telling me what to think. What ever they call the leaders that is what they do.

3. The Bushie flavor of Fundamentalism is a Cult!
Plain and simple! We need de-programming instructions if we want to change these people's minds. Otherwise it's hopeless.

16. Hi welcome.
It wasn't too long ago that people were welcoming me. And it did help. I had been nervous, but now I LOVE D.U. (and admittedly I avoid KOS because I've seen how mean they are there. lol)

15. actually, they really are more one issued than that.
It's the leadership who uses "their issues" to get the votes to be in office. They think of one thing only--abortions and gays. The rest of it is not even considered. NeoCONS recognize the robots and simply keep programming them.

17. Even on those issues, their leaders turn their backs.
They have no intention of doing anything legislatively about either issue; that's why they so desperately need the nuke option.

Without it, their hands get exposed to the very people who put them in office in the first place.

7. Mo, I don't know what makes you think WE can get through to them.
Hell, I think sometimes we piss them off more than atheists or agnostics, because we call ourselves Christians like they do, but we disagree on a LOT.

""I" cannot get through to them, i've tried, and failed, and given up."

Join the club. I cannot get through to them, either. And I've tried, too.

8. I'm a Christian and it's almost useless
They won't listen to me. They ignore the Word of God. They are traveling on their own crazy path and little things like the words of Christ aren't going to deter them.

It's the moderate Christian repubs who can be saved at this point. (No pun intended.) They know that * is wrong. They feel it in their stomachs and in their hearts. We can sway them.

The Fristians? They are lost to us, I'm afraid.

12. I'm very close to one of those myself
My father has been an ordained Assemblies of God minister for longer than I've been alive, and actually knows John Ashcroft because he attended the bible school in Missouri that his father ran, Central Valley Bible College.

He has recently switched from Republican to Independent because of these folks, and that's saying quite a bit.
