2. Looks like they got married in Wal-Mart
and the OP is making a reference to the movie Deliverance, which featured evil little backwoods scary assholes.

9. i was kind of playing dumb
i got the reference.
what i don't get is how in the world the OP could draw that conclusion from this picture.
i get really frustrated by people perpetuating ugly stereotypes.

4. Nothing to understand--just more of the usual "let's look down
on the Great Unwashed" crap. It makes some people feel better about themselves.

Get your priorities straight.

7. i know dueling banjos
what i want to know is why people who are obviously happily celebrating a wedding could be assumed to be ignorant inbreds. that is the implication, right?

8. I think having a wedding at Wal-Mart is pretty stupid
But it doesn't make me feel all superior and elite.

11. and these people claim they want Democrats to win
Edited on Wed May-18-05 01:22 AM by Syrinx

Wal-Mart is evil, but the people that shop there aren't (for the most part). If we got the Wal-Mart vote, we'd win every time. (Assuming the elections are on the level.)

12. I must not spend enough time in Wal-Mart - I didn't even realize...
...that this is where the wedding was taking place.

I agree with your sentiments above.

13. This is why the word "liberal" is always followed by "elite" these days
Democrats have managed to let the Republicans become the voices for the poor and lower middle class because they aren't condescending.

18. I took it as commericalism, but as to elite
why are liberals so branded when it is the GOP that wants to exclude non-christians and gays.

We're all elitists...even the dueling banjo crowd...maybe them more than others.

14. Yeah, why couldn't they get married at the clubhouse at a swingin'...
...single's apartment complex, like us "Elite"?

We have Alumni come back to campus and get married next to The Fountain, or up on Slater Hill. Is that "tacky"?

Oh, guess not, since it cost you about $50,000 to become an Alumnus of this place...

I poke fun at the Lower Classes (like me) with the worst off them, but I don't see nuttin here to make fun of...

Where did this occur? I'm just trying to imagine why anyone would get married in a wal-mart.

One of the stepping stones to another national football championship for the mighty Wildcats. Nice to see they've found another sport.
