1. Spikey Isikoff
a friend to the admin- surely he wouldn't report "faulty news" ? Funny, it never stopped him during the Clinton era.

6. Isikoff went after Clinton on single and anonymous sources.
Which in some cases were outright lies. Remember the Kathleen Willey media circus?: http://www.salon.com/media/1998/06/12mediab.html

In 1998 the right loved Isikoff. I don't remember any 24/7 coverage about a bogus story or calls for resignation and retraction.

7. Interesting
I didn't know that. Do you have a good reliable source for this? I'd like to share it with some people. Thanks.

Craig Crawford of Congressional Quarterly made this statement:

<snip>The news organization turns to the administration for a denial. The administration says nothing. The news organization runs the story. The administration jumps on the necks of the news organization with both feet - or has its proxies do it for them.

That’s beyond shameful. It’s treasonous.<snip>

C.C. said that this is done with every administration.

IMHO, if they can't snuff the story, then they are victims of their own recklessness.

4. When you use "AirAmerica:", are you saying that the AirAmerica...
news dept is reporting this, or some individual caller or host stated this?

5. I suspected as much. It's neoCON SOP to pull this kind of shit.
We ALL know the neoCONs are polished distractors, diversionaries, manipulative hocus pocus "now-you-see-it, now-you-don't" tricksters.
