URGENT: Click here to take action immediately!

Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist looks set to launch the "nuclear option" tomorrow!

That means we have less than 24 hours to stop the Senate from writing President Bush a free pass to pack the federal courts with whatever out-of-touch right-wing ideologues he wants. If the nuclear option power grab passes, Bush's anti-choice nominees will sail through the Senate - he'll need only a party-line vote to approve them.

Take action NOW - urge your senators to oppose the power grab!

It's outrageous that Frist is breaking Senate rules to take away senators' most powerful line of defense against extremist judges: the filibuster. Rather than abuse his power, he should work with President Bush to find moderate judges that the vast majority of senators can get behind. The American public agrees - a recent Washington Post-ABC News poll shows that 66 percent of Americans oppose changing Senate rules.

If you support a balanced judiciary and Supreme Court, take action today!

We have no doubt that President Bush and Senator Frist will use the nuclear option to pack the courts with judges who oppose Roe v. Wade. Only a razor-thin majority of Supreme Court justices support Roe and a woman’s right to choose. If Bush stacks the Supreme Court with anti-choice justices, there’s little we can do to prevent Roe from being overturned.

Take action today to stop President Bush from packing the courts with anti-choice judges.

3. Reid says judge talks over
U.S. Senate Democratic Leader Says Judge Talks Over (Update1)

May 16 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid suspended talks aimed at averting a Senate confrontation over President George W. Bush's judicial nominees, saying Republicans insist on abolishing the filibuster against judges.

Reid declared an end to negotiations after meeting with Republican Majority Leader Bill Frist in the U.S. Capitol. Frist is seeking to force Senate votes on all seven disputed nominees submitted by Bush, Reid said.

4. There's always a toilet filibuster
In the worst case, the democrats can flush whole copies of the bible
down the toilets of the congress and block all the pipes. THen the
republicans will have to go home to take a dump, instead of shitting
all over the american people.

Its a last resort, i realize, but instead of reading that bible to the
congress, flush it and hail mary!
