They are trying to attack PETA's credibility on PETA's stance that euthanasia is the compassionate option, a necessary evil, in dealing with unwanted and suffering animals.

From their newly launched site, petakillsanimals.com...

PETA's Dirty Secret
Hypocrisy is the mother of all credibility problems, and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has it in spades. 3. To answer your question, yes, they are that stupid.
It's spin, baby, yeah!

Euthanasia is the compassionate option for suffering animals, and it is a necessary evil in dealing with unwanted animals. I think everyone agrees with the first sentiment. The latter "necessary evil" is an ugly fact that we all have to face until we all spay/neuter our pets and adopt our companions rather than buying them from a breeder or pet store.

5. You underestimate the ability of the general public
to buy this garbage. I've seen the CCF quoted even here on DU, despite the fact that they are nothing but a front group for some very un-liberal industries and their very un-liberal practices.

And if their source is a Penn & Teller special, well, that shows you how credible they are.
