Social Security Insecurity.

Hyperbole has become an accepted part of political discourse. In fact, it has become political discourse.

How something is labeled seems more important than the thing itself. Everybody's selling something, or someone.

Let's examine the Republican administration's "Social Security reform" agenda.

What the Republicans propose is not reform. What they propose is dismantling Social Security. Withdrawing funds from the program is not reform. It's closing out Social Security.

Additionally, the "saving Social Security" canard.
borders on dishonesty. How can you save a program by defunding the program?

How do you "reform" and "save" a program by destroying it?

That is what the Republican agenda proposes in a nutshell.

I would rather they take the high road and honestly put their intentions to abolish Social Security before the American public.

We deserve some honest debate on this issue.
