Evidence about Bolton debunked ? Repugs lying again ?

When I was casually watching the Bolton hearing today, I heard George Allen and Sununu and Norm Coleman claim that the evidence against Bolton had been discredited and was false. Is this just a case of blatant Repug lying to save Bolton, or were there any smidgens of truth in what they were saying ? I'm sorry I cannot be more specific. Thanks for your time.
