Ah, I remember those wonderful Reagan years.
When people had difficulty getting loans because the money had been already sucked up by the government.

When people lost their health insurance. ...And the reason they lost their health insurance was because when they got an expensive illness that raised the amount the insurance company paid out, the insurance company started raising the cost of the insurance on that particular individual until they could no longer afford the insurance.

Farmers everywhere were going belly up and losing their farms. Farm bankruptcies all over the country. Of course, Bush and Congress have already fixed that little problem, haven't they.

I can't believe we're doing this again.

1. Republicans cannot stand seeing anybody else succeed.
It is all "Hooray for me and fuck you." to GOPers.

12. Or "I can't see what your problem is, I'm doing GREAT!"
"You must be lazy or something...."

What was that line about those who do not learn from History?

2. so much depends on the red rooster
In the terrible time of Gipper
I only recall feeling chipper,
that perhaps as younger, innocent inspired
i was driven and very wired
developing a firm career
of success and happy cheer.

And in this time of Dumbshit
I'm aging and less well lit
with fire for running in the circle
of of working working for a miracle
and so it seems to be a decline
much more heinous than the time
That reagan took a unified mass
and simply acted like an ass.

8. 1983 wage and benifit concessions, 1985 wage and benifit concessions,
1986 Olin corporation sells our profitable company to a crook in Atlanta and again more wage and benifit concessions. 1986 through 1990 all profits are declared the crooks salary. 1992 the crook files bankruptcy, steals our pension, and shuts down the factory.

hostile takeovers, Anne "Trash the environment" Gorsuch, James "Pave over the parks" Watt, Al "I'm in charge here" Haig, George "Bechtel" Schultz, Oliver "Wrap myself in the flag" North, John "Iran-Contra" Poindexter, and of course, Idiot Meese, the so-called attorney general who declared that of course a suspect was guilty, otherwise he wouldn't be a suspect

11. Too many bought rightie BS that Reagan was a marvelous success
So they can't wait to do it again.

In fact, if reagan tax cuts brought us the Clinton prosperity, well, tax cuts that are twice as big and are even more tilted to the rich will really do us good!

If Reagan military expenditures and adventurism won the cold war, well, a really dumb hot war and spending six bill a month on occupation will really do us good!
