Join Me and Rep. Slaughter in Exciting On-Line Chat -- Tuesday, May 10, 3-4 ET.
Dear Friend:
I wanted to invite you to participate in a first ever live online chat with Congressman Louis Slaughter, Ranking Democrat on the House Rules Committee, and me on Tuesday, May 10, 2005, beginning at 3:00 p.m. eastern time and ending at approximately 4:00 p.m. (Questions will be accepted earlier). The "chat" is being hosted by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. To join in on the chat simply go to:
http://www.democraticaction.org. Please feel free to pass this information along to any friends, colleagues, and family (and encourage them to sign up for my newsletter).
Tuesday afternoon's on-line chat will be a revolutionary event where two of the leading Democrats in the House pool their resources and expertise to interact with you to respond to your concerns and questions. Among the topics that I expect will come up include the Ohio presidential election and election reform; the Jeff Gannon scandal; the recent disclosure that Bush agreed to go to war in the summer of 2002, before they even bothered asking for authority; the Schiavo case and the Republican assault on the judiciary; Bush's attempted rip off of the Social Security System; the various additional abuses and misuses of power by the GOP Majority; the upcoming legislative agenda; and the state of the Democratic Party
In other developments, last February I wrote to inform you of the creation of my blog:
http://www.conyersblog.us. Since that time, the site has been upgraded to make the blog interactive and we are now receiving up to hundreds of comments and thousands of hits per day, and have been picked up by blogs and even television. Recently, we upgraded the blog to permit the inclusion of video and audio feeds, such as my recent interview on the Stephanie Miller radio show concerning the Iraq scandal. Several citizens have emailed to request the addition of a RSS feed to the blog site. I am happy to report that work is in progress on this front and I anticipate this feature to be available in the coming weeks.
Please visit my website and my blog, and please join us for the path-breaking political "chat" session on Tuesday, May 10, 2005 beginning at 3 pm eastern time.
