ALL STATES SHOULD PASS THE "PAPER TRAIL" LAW.
If West Virginia can do it, all states can!!!

H.B. 2950 – Requiring a voter-verifiable paper trail
Over the past few years there has been a lot of controversy over the use of electronic voting machines. Many people have been concerned that there is no physical record of a person’s vote after they vote on an electronic machine. This bill requires that electronic voting machines produce a voter-verifiable paper trail so the voter can see that his or her vote is recorded accurately.

2. It must say: "Verifiable Paper Ballot."
But otherwise, it's a good bill.

6. Agreed, but without that specific wording it's a pyrrhic victory.
The NeoCons will be able to say: "You got your paper-trail" when in reality the problem has not been fixed.

The electronic machines are not to be trusted. Period.

4. I think this is excellent! The President owes transparency in elections
to his people above all else in a democracy.

That President Bush has not led on this is typical, and goes to his deep contempt and carelessness towards many, many Americans.

:applause: to whoever is fighting this fight.

And shame, shame, shame on the power-hungry little turd in the WH who uses fear and lack of information as weapons to hurt his opponents.

What a tiny little man Bush is. Just a tiny little entity.

The smallest President ever!!

5. Why use machines at all? Why can't we just use paper and pen?
I have yet to hear a good reason for why we simply just don't use paper and pen for voting.

I do not trust electronic voting machines whatsoever, but a paper trail is better than no paper trail.
