1. If you are terrified of spiders, and if I know that, and if I tie you to a chair and drape spiders all over you until your mind breaks with fear...was I terrorizing you? Would I be a terrorist?
In my opinion, the answer to the first is yes, and the second is no.
2. If you were out gardening and just for something evil to do I tossed an IED at you and you never knew; you were just here one minute and dead the next...did I terrorize you? Would I be a terrorist?
In my opinion, the answer to both questions is no.
3. If I threw what looked like a grenade, but was actually a harmless fake with a harmless explosion of smoke, into a crowd, was I terrorizing the crowd? Would I be a terrorist?
In my opinion; yes, and no.
4. If I sent warning letters to the media that I was going to blow up a crowd in busy-street X, and I then did #3 (harmless smoke grenade), would that make me a terrorist?
In my opinion, yes.
5. If I did #3 (harmless smoke grenade into a crowd) and THEN sent letters to the media saying I was going to blow up a crowd, would that make me a terrorist?
In my opinion, yes.
6. Does someone have to suffer grievous bodily harm or die to make someone to be a terrorist?
In my opinion, no.
7. Does the threat, real or imagined, of grievous bodily harm or death have to exist to make someone a terrorist?
In my opinion, yes.
8. Does a terrorist just kill to kill, or does a terrorist kill for an objective?
In my opinion, a terrorist by definition kills for an objective.
What is your definition of "terrorized" and "terrorism" and "terrorist"?
