Man arrested for "defacing" Virgin Mary roadside stain

I kid you not. I don't know if its on the wire, but I just saw it reported on teevee news. Is this for real? What on earth will they charge him with? Deface a salt stain? Surely they don't normally hunt down and arrest regular ol' graffiti artists, do they? Is this what our Homeland Security dollars are going for? Or is this just the first assignment of BushCo's new Religious Police? So many questions...so little hallucinogens.

They're under EVERY overpass in Chicago. One is right near my house, and you have to REALLY use your imagination, but it also has the outline of the virgin Mary. Buit reality tells you IT'S SLUDGE!!!!

Point 1: If the stain was 'real', then God exists and is omnipotent.
Point 2: If God is omnipotent, he wouldn't have allowed anything to happen to the stain unless he wanted it to happen.
Point 3: That being the case, the 'defacer' was merely acting upon the orders of the original 'artist' or 'owner' of the piss stain.

Else

Point 1: God is not real, ergo the stain is just a piss stain
Point 2: You cannot deface a piss stain anymore than you can deface a pile of dog shit.

He should be able to get off scot-free, unless the prosecutors declare he's actually an agent of Satan. Hmm...that's a toughie. Perhaps they'll dunk him in the water and see if he floats to find out?

Police arrested the alleged vandal shortly after witnesses said they saw the man take out black shoe polish at the site on the Fullerton Avenue underpass around 11:30 p.m. and write "Big Lie" over the stain, said police spokesman David Banks. Sometime later highway workers painted over the graffiti.
