There can be TOO much government
There is a proposal in BC to make businesses such as McDonald's somehow responsible for the trash created by their products. It isn't McDonald's littering. How about the consumers who throw away their garbage in the streets rather than use one of the many available garbage cans?

3. Have you ever been to the McDonald's inside the Zoo in Toronto?
I'm guessing that they still found it profitable to create a completely environmentally safe environment (what with the zoo filled with all manner of birds and big game).

They did a good job with the little cups and the ketchup in all restaurants.

Apparently CEOS will soon be paying attention to moral bench marks on their behaviour. That is what they claim anyway. So a simple fuss will be all it will take in the future to fix things corporations do.

I have my doubts.

But it looks like CEOs are going to have to make a choice between the religious right and the Liberal. That is what happened to Bill Gates. Is probably why Bush so quietly let Laura pull a cultural bitch slap on the Christian right & their values at the press corps dinner. They have to slap those empowered Christians down before each CEO has to choose between one half of the market or the other (I'm taking that was not an intended consequence of the Bush policy of tribilization).

Why - how often do you see CEOs or Corporations on the TV ads trying to separate themselves from Enron or trying to claim they followed environmental laws before they were forced too.

Seems they have lost a big huge pile of goodwill because of Bush.

Lovely when a rich boy with no known business success is dropped in as President. The whole dam world is destabilized.

I can barely wait to see how the 'empowered Christian right' reacts when it is clear the will be slapped down if they try and use any more muscle. I'm guessing the Christian will be the next group to start to bleed bewildered and angry chumped voters.
