Question--when someone has a file sealed by the court--how can you
get that released? I'm studying law and I have a () I wanted to work on--() but some info is sealed?

1. File petition with the court in which it was sealed
If a private matter. I have no idea what to do if it is a national security thing, tho.

2. You can't without permission from the judge which he or she
is highly unlikely to grant.

3. If it's a family law case: custody, divorce, adoption
records are often sealed to protect the minors, and the parties' privacy. AS they should be. If it's a criminal case, I'm not sure...

Usually a file is sealed for good reasons. Getting it unsealed for a book report is probably not going to happen. Gyre
