2. Maher exceeded my expectations, but obviously didn't get
any answers from JimmyJeff. Though he did drop some names: "Condi, Card, etc..."

3. Gannon never really answered to the question...
...why HE was the one who was invited to the White House Press Corps, out of the thousands of well qualified reporters who have been unsuccessful in getting in so far...

5. Funny thing is, it's past the part of allegations
JimmyJeff pretty much acknowledged a few times that he was a hooker. And that's just no big deal?

Edited on Fri Apr-29-05 11:53 PM by Roland99
Isn't that something that got Jacko into trouble???

BTW, as I thought, Bill softballed him. Why is the media sofaking afraid of confronting these bastards???

11. You know what the real problem is..
Similar to what Sabra said. You can ask them the tough questions and they just don't answer them, instead change the subject or ramble on about something else. It seems when the host does continue to prod them on to answer a question, then they just flat out lie or say what you expected them to in the first place despite the facts given. In my opinion with this administration, its just about pointless to even question them in an interview, you'll never get them to admit a damn thing, much less concede a little that they may have been wrong about something.

10. I'm telling you guys, Gannon is not what he appears to be
from previous interviews. He was more laid back, making jokes and laughing at himself. Maher was happy with that Gannon joke. It was the best one of the night and it didn't come from Bill. And all I have to say is I hope I look that good when I'm 48!

12. He is a VERY strange cat.
He NEVER denies any of the hooker/nude stuff, but he doesn't really come clean about it.

Why not just say "Yeah, I'm gay, I used to be a prostitute, but I became a "journalist". So what? Have you never heard of the Log Cabin Club?"

It's not like everybody doesn't already know...

16. Yes, he was - he looked like a 3rd grader in a school play
trying to remember the lines he memorized.

Guckert went on that show knowing the type of questions he could expect to get from Maher - IE: How he got in all those times with a day pass, missing entries from the log, gay prostition website, etc.

Jeff simply prepared and memorized a few answers he could use for the questions he got from Maher in hopes that they would somehow manage to fit the question. For every question that Maher asked, it seemed that Gannon was reciting an answer than didn't really tell us anything.

I'm disappointed that Maher didn't attack harder; however, I think he exposed Gucker for being the dingbat that he is

14. JimJeff think God put him in the WH press room
From Howard Kurtz

"Jeff Gannon's seamy past leaked out months before he asked President Bush a loaded question during a news conference.

As a correspondent for the now-defunct Web site Talon News, says the forthcoming issue of Vanity Fair, Gannon was hammering Tom Daschle during the South Dakotan's campaign to hold onto his Senate seat. Daschle aides traced an e-mail -- ostensibly from a constituent who wanted reaction to one of Gannon's stories -- to an Internet profile of Gannon, wearing only dog tags and boxer shorts. "The Daschle campaign spread the word, but no reporters bit," the magazine says.

Gannon doesn't deny advertising online as a $200-an-hour gay escort, but describes himself as the victim of "a full-scale jihad" by liberals. Vanity Fair says he falsely told friends he had been a Marine -- Gannon says he displayed military paraphernalia and "didn't disabuse anyone of that notion" -- and owes nearly $21,000 in back taxes. Gannon believes God bestowed a White House assignment on him so that he could atone for past transgressions, Vanity Fair says.

In defending his name change, the man born as James Guckert says Jeff Gannon has a "nice ring to it -- like Wolf Blitzer, which isn't his real name either." Actually, Mr. Guckert, it is his real name."

15. Gannon was SO TOTALLY WEIRD on BMaher.....
My husband and I were watching, and the guy (Jeff Gannon) was so frikkin' WEIRD! He looked like a madman...serial killer weird. We started laughing, and decided he looked like an alien from outer space.

That's right up the bush/rove alley!
