So the House rethugs are going to draft legislation on SS
sometime in June. Or it will be done sometime in June.

What does that mean?

I have a sinking feeling that they're united in doing this and that "this" means they're going to screw us over.

So what else is new??

2. But they also have to run on this in 2006
This is a huge mistake. The benefit cuts start at anyone making over $20,000 per year. At $58,000 per year average salary, a person could face 40% benefit cuts. This is language that America understands.

I hope the House forces a vote on this. We then have a big club to beat Rethugs with in the 2006 elections.

5. They think.....
That their goose may already be cooked for 2006, so they have this to do now before the shit hits the fan.

3. I'm finding it all very confusing... I thought * didn't have the
support for his crappy idea of SS privatization. That most of the public is against it and even some of the rethugs are against it.

Now they're all united in this particular piece of legislation (whatever it may be)??

It's getting muddier and muddier to me.

Besides, aren't the rethugs worried about the 2006 elections? If they piss off their constituents by going along with the plan to screw us over (re SS), aren't they worried they'll be voted out?
