Well, Jesus would probably disagree with Rush on the "It" part and the moral absolute part.

After all, he explained to the men of the time that if one even looked at a woman with lust in his heart, he was committing adultery. Yet he refused to condone the stoning of an adultress, saying, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

There are many more examples than this. Like the fact that in the Gospels Jesus claimed that God hated divorce (probably because of the mess it left women and children in), but due to the hardness of men's hearts, God allowed it.
