I was wondering....
The front page of April 29ths’ NY Times must give the Republican conservative right wing much joy: projected cutting of Social Security, while on the same page are headlined “Cuts in Medicaid”, more cuts in burdensome taxes on the rich, the economy sharply slowed, and inflation concerns arising.

Meanwhile, across the country Republicans are preaching how these events reflect the choice of the people, since they were elected to do exactly what is occurring. I am perplexed in understanding why the average guy supposedly wants his present economic level debased in favor of the already rich, wants his retirement guarantees jeopardized, his federal medical assistance decreased and his savings diminished by inflation.

Did the American people really vote for these changes? Would they not be likened to kicking yourself in the rear?
