7. Polish troops had attacked and over-run

a German custom station by the border. The German Army then counterattacked and DESTROYED those low down Poles, to the last man. That was the onset of the Polish invasion, and since England and France had mutual assistance treaties with Poland, that was also the start of WW II.

As learned AFTER the War, those so-called "Polish" soldiers were Actually German prisoners. They had been let out of prison and fitted out in Polish uniforms. One can only guess what they were told, but they seemed to have "obeyed orders" perfectly.

Factually, quite a bit diferent from the Iraq invasion, but the level of intellectual honesty was about the same.
