Confessions of a Liberal Hater
No I don't hate liberals..I'm a liberal who hates.

I sat and watched the president last night and finally had to admit to myself. I hate George W. Bush. I hate the Republican Party and all it stands for. I hate hypocrisy of Republicans. I hate what is happening to this once great country.

I watched for an hour. The jingoistic, bobbing and weaving, smirking, winking and blinking, syntax challenged lying excuse for a leader. I hated everything he said and proclaimed. But, more than that, I realized that I hate him, George W. Bush. You are the embodiment of all that is rotten, evil, dysfunctional and dishonest.
I'm not your fool Mr. Bush*. I'm smarter than you and realize that you do truly deserve my hatred.

Do I feel remorse for admitting that I am a liberal who hates. Not in this case.

1. You're not alone.
But I'm probably worse off than you are. You're probably still willing to stand and fight and pry this country back from the iron claw of Christofascism. I'm not. I have finally come to the conclusion that I have to get myself, my wife and my daughter out of here before it's too late.

If you still have hope, I envy you. I wish I could still convince myself there was a chance to turn things around in this country.

2. I don't understand how you can totally despair
When this year has been one failure after another for the Republicans and President Bush. I mean the Bankruptcy bill was bad, no doubt about it, but it's certainly better than the Bankruptcy Bill plus the Social Security Phase-Out, the Crybaby Option (in regards to the courts) and so on and so forth. Their snake oil isn't selling as it used to.

7. As long as they control the evoting machines
it doesn't matter how bad things get for the repukes. THEY KNOW THAT. They know they can do any damn thing they want because THEY control the voting machines and will NEVER lose another election as long as they have that control.

11. Than why hasn't social security already been passed?
I mean if they have total control, there's nothing we can do about it, and the game is pretty much over, why waste time trykng to talk people into doing it?

4. My version is pity. Pity that the target of my disdain, the cabal and
PNACers and Fed Soc and the reverends who rule him, thought they could get away with thier decision and are getting away with him if we always only target him. I always target his handlers and his marionette-in-a-robe string pullers because he could resign for illness or scandal at any minute or be put out to pasture by them = then we are still left with these destructionists. I suggest you examine who props him up and tutors him endlessly because he is only a front. The real danger is with his handlers. We focus more effectively if we educate people about the very clever people who put him there starting with the Fed Society, Tri-Lateral, the Cheney-PNAC murderers, and the banking, corporate, military, religious factions.

5. I was thinking...
as I watched the press conference last night--- somehow I always thought that if the rich took control from the common people they'd be more suave about it all... more douglas fairbanks, less wc fields --you know, not this crass idiocy.

8. And, I hate the fact that Dems
don't think it's a time of balls to wall. Much of the religiofacist damage being carried out by the Pukes is irreversible. I've been in the political trenches for years on a local, state and national level. This is positively the worst time of despair, hopelessness and futility I've ever experienced. I hate the Republicans for thinking we can't see past their simple greed and selfishness. Bush* said, "a lot of people don't like me". For as much pain and suffering you and your criminal cohorts are causing around the world..a lot of people just hate your guts.

10. I think you're right to feel that way, and right to say it out loud.
Frankly, I'm surprised that the Sanctimony Brigade hasn't descended on this thread, with their ever-ready "we liberals are better than them" routine.

Don't be ashamed of hate. It's a natural human response to something terrible and wrong. And, like any emotion, it's not the emotion itself that's good or bad, its what we do with it -- and what we allow it to do to ourselves.

What's truly harmful is suppressing or denying emotions. Seems like you've done just the opposite -- you acknowledge it's there, you're pondering the implications, and you're moving forward. Sounds like a pretty good definition of a Democrat with their head on straight, to me.

12. Thanks, and I don't make any apologies either.
More than once I have told people that I will never apologize for being an American, liberal, and Democrat - and I don't give a shit what their "Bible" or their "facts" say.
