1. Yeah, but someone ought to tell him the baby boom went on into the early
60s.

He says only those born before 1950 will get their full SS benefits. What about those of us born from 1950-1962?

I have gone hoarse screeming at the TV tonight.

2. No kidding.
I'm the first part of GenX, '65. I've been paying in for 23 years, but screw me! I'm getting too old to actually make any serious money (on paper, of course) in the stock market, but too young to actually get what I have been promised, just like you. And you are right to be pissed, having paid for even MORE years! Aaaargh.

What a dipshit * is. I hope he understands how dangerous and destabilizing inter-generational warfare could be, 'cuz he's pushing for it with this crazy plan.

Meanwhile, in other news, corporate CEOs have been outsourcing good jobs for a couple of decades that could have been paying into the system all along...but no word about that.

and telling the "Greatest Generation" your benefits are protected.

You misinterpreted him saying those born before 1950 were Boomers.

BTW, I tuned in one of the local conservative stations today - KDKA in Pittsburgh - the 50,000 watt Blowhards. The morning conservative Mike Pintek is blasting the Bush SS takeaway. The dummy never heard Bush say before that he was reducing benefits. Glad he finally woke up. Pintek's calling it a new welfare program (the poor gets more money while the middle class gets ripped off). Hell I don't care at this point if that's what get the * & Repuke voters to wake up!

Then he gets Suze Orman on to talk about her new book aimed at the 20-35 year olds and she's telling them not to invest in 401k's unless their employer matches funds cause in the future they are going to have to be taxed more because of the huge deficit. She's telling them to use their money to pay off their debts and save for a house.

Interesting morning. I imagine the national RW blowhards have their talking points but maybe some of the locals are going off the reservation.
