Social Security "problem" is easy to "fix".
Remember the huge "surplus" we had in the 90's? That was a result of the combined budget magic.. EXCESS social security money derived from near full-employment for nearly a decade, with many "contributions" coming from Boomers at or near their peak-earnings, generated a big surplus in SOCIAL SECURITY...NOT INCOME TAXES..

*² was a big fat liar when he kept chanting.. "it's YOUR money, and we're gonna give it back".. What he did was to give the "extra" social security money from the "least of us" (under 90K) and move it on up, disguised as a "tax cut" to the Rich Folks.....

The reason we even HAD the surplus SS, was because we have ALL been paying extra since the 80's so that when the Boomers retired, there would be plenty to take care of us, without "burdening" the next generation.. The money was THERE...and *² gave it to his rich pals...and bought off some poor folks with $300, that they had to claim as INCOME the following tax year..

All that has to be done, is for the rich folks to GIVE OUR SOCIAL SECURITY MONEY BACK...

5. Oh yes, $320 billion and still counting, of which 90% has been
...syphoned off by military contractors. Let me see $320,000,000,000.00 divided by 23,000,000 Iraqis would be $13,913 for every man, woman and child living in Iraq. Had that money been spent on the Iraqi's in some productive manner instead of by death and destruction of war, we would have accomplished something useful and made a complete allies of most of the Iraqi people.

Now, I'm sure the Iraqis sense that they have at least three enemies, the U.S. occupation forces, the insurgents who are from outside Iraq and Iraqi rebels and guerrillas. These people would like nothing better than to be left alone and I'm sure boot out all three and be masters of their own fate. With 100,000 dead Iraqis and perhaps a million wounded and disabled since fighting began in 2003, there is not one family or household that has not suffered emotionally and physically from Bush's war.

Bush needs to stop the slaughter now and just leave.

7. Iraq could have been "won" in less than a month

All that was needed was to post in Arabic..the following :

All males aged 15-55, report to the following locations (then list them).. You will receive forms to fill out to help us EMPLOY you in the act of rebuilding YOUR country..

Wages of $100 per man will be given when you submit your application, and monthly when you receive your "job"..raises given based on productivity..

skills needed:

carpentry
masonry
electrical
custodial
teaching
adminsitration
etc
etc/

At each "location" there would have been tools and material awaiting the new "recruits"..

Does anyone think that the insurgency would have sprung up, if the males had been busily working at paying jobs??

and it would have been a hell of a lot cheaper than what Halliburton,Bechtel, & KBR charges us

6. You're exactly right.
Plus he takes us to war and instead of having the country sacrifice in some way, he gives money back to his cronies, takes Medicaid from the poor and cuts benefits to veterans.
