2. He's making me cry
He said his dad wanted to keep his car until he was 80, even though he didn't drive much, because, "You never know when you might need to get away."

Jerry's mom and dad were some of the few in their family to escape and survive the Holocaust.

3. I was listening, it was very moving
talking about his dad who was a survivor of the holocaust was still fearful even in the 80's of what governments could do so he kept driving just in case he needed to 'get away'. Wow.

5. Everything is
soaked in that kind of emotion. Everything just about. As honest and as uplifting as it may be it really paints everything with an unreliable brush. Constantly emoting about Bush good points and allowing him under the "sincere heartfelt" fold is simply too naive for the actuality.

Which leads one to look elsewhere for real news or critical forums.

I am not making aspersions on these or other expressions. I suppose expressing some dissatisfaction with Springer on this score is a tender spot, and that is the problem.

I could't imagine him doing any good with this approach in the government, that he once seriously considered.

8. Well, I knew it would touch a nerve
of course that is WHAT we need. Compassion is just much more than the gut feeling. A man standing over a fallen foe foe can feel that noble passion too. I am sure that Jerry is good as he is sincere and that the physical play of passion is not as reliable.

I often feel that the heavy anecdotes and speeches cross too many lines and leave journalism and information starving for attention. Of course that appeals to many people in a good way. I just feel the absence of a real center for getting people the full news. Air America seems more about entertainment and very likely for excellent reasons considering the competition. It's not the full answer by a long shot, but I feel other hosts than Jerry do a far better job with the issues.

OK, not my cup of tea to weep in.
