bush has changed the concept of what an american president is. and what an american president does. forever.

any objective observer will tell you that that little puke who can't even speak english is no more president than britney spears is a singer.

it's now an empty office, strictly ceremonial, for photo ops and cheer leading and reading pre-written speeches and hand picked crowds.
bush has no actual powers at all, because he's not really the president.

the nation is being run by a collective of pirates and murdering maniacs, wearing dark gray power suits, and george bush is pretending to be the president. he himself has no fucking clue what is going on around him, and is being kept in a drug induced stupor by his handlers, just like they did with the aged howard hughes, and ronald reagan too.

this is not some bizarre conspiracy theory or metaphor, it's absolutely true. we've been operating without a president for over four years now, although it's fooled 99% of the people.

7. At least he had a sense of humor. Same nose, different
attitude - I'd guess Richard M. Nixon. Faked his own death so he could take more effective control of the world. Spends most of his time on the beach getting drunk with Beebee Rebozo. Still wears that same light grey suit, even in Bimini. Good delegator, though.

4. Shhhhhhh! The kids will hear you.
One time, my kindergartner walked in early while his teacher was putting up the Thanksgiving classroom decorations.

"Is that the invaders' boat?"

"Yes, but don't tell the kids."

(Of course, that was Berkeley :) )

5. Actually, I think it was Reagan who....
became the first to be "playing" the President while others behind
the scenes ran the show. Bush senior didn't understand why the same
tactic didn't work for him. In Clinton we got an actual President again, for
better or worse, who actually did the job. I'd guess that is yet
another reason the Right hated him so much: He functioned.

6. Power abhors a vacuum, someone or some group will always...
...try to step in and fill that power vacuum.

Ralph Nader on Government Reform
Civic engagement fights corporate-government fascism
Our lack of civic motivation is the greatest problem facing the country today. Our beloved country is being taken apart by large multinational commercial powers.
In our country there is a gap that needs to be closed: the democracy gap. It is often said that "power abhors a vacuum. " When people do not claim power, the greedy step in to fill the void. Every day that capable citizens abstain from civic engagement allows our society and world to tolerate harm and to decay incrementally. The converse is also true. Our efforts, small and large, daily and cumulatively, spread the more noble sentiments of our humanity toward one another. But it isn't happening nearly enough to stem the downward slide of justice in our society.

That in its essence is fascism: ownership of the government by an individual, by a group or any controlling private power. We would do well to heed this age-old wisdom as we ponder why our corporate and political leaders assume more and more control over our lives and futures.

He is President as long as the media pretends he is President.

It's way too obvious that the bunker guy is the Pres. of those who plunder and those who refuse to acknowledge that plundering is going on because they think the little guy under the robe is designated by God or Jesus and that the little guy is (raise hands now) 'leading' us.
