Right now. The Fascist News Channel is making the case....
for the impending war with Iran. Rovian propaganda at its best.

6. To sway the American electorate
stick with the cost. The moral implications are too vast and complicated for about 50% of the public to understand.

26. Give this man/woman a cigar!
That's the impression(s) I've gotten from those "good" Americans I've tried talking with about these developments. For example, I've had acrimonious discussions about the Iraq invasion and election fraud with family Freepers. They swore up and down that Saddam had WMDs, and when it was FINALLY accepted that Saddam had none, no one with whom I had these discussions said anything! Some are still holding on to the notion that Saddam "hid" or "moved" the WMDs, but most JUST DON'T CARE. As for election fraud, these same people have an "Oh well, there has been election fraud since George Washington..." attitude and JUST DON'T CARE.

It's amazing! I feel like grabbing hold of these people and shaking some sense into them! "Wake up!" I want to say to them. You no longer have a government; there is a CRIME FAMILY in charge of the country, and it DOESN'T have your best interests at heart. You exist ONLY at its pleasure. Wake up before it's too late, but THEY JUST DON'T CARE...

14. Another war would mean the complete
defeat of the Repugs. But then again, we're screwed, as an antiwar party.

24. take your pick
if we invade Iran, they're going to let loose at Israel and Israel is going to let loose back

that's going to kill several thousand, if not millions of people and will start WW3 or WW4, depending on whether you count the Cold War as WW3

while flipping through the channels.

I'm glad some people on DU are watching, because I certainly wouldn't be able to!

How bad is it? The commercial alone seemed worthy of a Rove Award.

Check www.mediamatters.org. Great website documenting the MSM's subliminal support for the war.

12. Well, it's only one letter different. How much harder can it be???
Iran
Iraq

Sounds similar. Next we'll bomb France and say, "Oops. We actually mistook it for the country of Irav, but apparently that country does not exist."

Meanwhile.

15. Here's Prancing Preznit Precious' plan to put lipstick this pig ......
See .... we made a mistake. We went too fast last time. We went to Iraq. See, Iraq has a "Q". That was the problem. We went too far down the alphabet. We shoulda stopped at "N". See, we were working so hard ta get there, we had a lotta momentum. See, when yer workin' hard and runnin' hard, ya sometimes cain't stop. And we couldn't. So we ran right past that danged "N" and all the way to "Q". This time, we'll get it right.

20. Bush/Condi/Rummy thrust their lies down our throats once
Americans are wising up. They also the costs of Bush's warmongering on our programs to help the needy and our own deteriorating infrastructure. Everytime I hear right-wingers talking about how proud they are of our military and taxes building new schools in Iraq, I think about the kids here forced to attend schools that are substandard.

21. Folks, this is the coming thing...stay vigilant...
I saw it too on Faux News...they're already stepping up the redoric...

Ritter was right on Randi's show, the admin. has been planning this for well over a year..from this point on it's going to be "Iran's nuclear capability" and "it's threat to the US." Look for the words "dual use."

The MSM will systematically build a case for war with Iran starting with the American tube watchers. It's all slated to start building up in May-June with attack in June-July time frame.

Negroponte will be cooking the intelegence...

Think PNAC...this is squarely within their mission statement.

25. Don't watch Faux but...
I do channel seach to find something, if anything is intresting, might be on. Well everytime I do pass Faux they keep talking up Iran, while stations like CNN, C-SPAN, MSGOP aren't even touching with a ten foot pole. At least from what I have watched previously.

Let's just hope Iran doesn't come to fruitation.

30. It will not be Iran
It will be Syria. This is just saber rattling against Iran. Mostly for the benefit of the American public. Syria would be relatively easy and it would expand the United States' strategic position as a wedge between Iran/Central Asian oil reserves and the Saudi/Gulf nations. The ground work is layed for Syria. Iran also has a sizable military force to deal with that has built itself back up since the Iraq/Iran conflict. Iran's topography is also a problem, it is much more varied and harder to negotiate than the flat desert/river plain that is Iraq. No, it will be Syria. But both may be in for severe bombing strikes.

32. Syria? Not yet.
First, * has to find an excuse to invade Syria. And Assad, Jr. isn't co-operating. Syria appears to be withdrawing from Lebanon, and despite claims by neocons that Saddam moved his WMDs to Syria, none have been found there. That's not to say * needs an excuse to invade, but I think he'd rather have one.

And God help the US if it invades Iran. With 3 times the population and a far more professional military that Iraq had (to say nothing of a challenging terrain), Iran will make Iraq look like Panama.
