It's over. Democracy in America that is. How does a nation with such an advanced economy, government, etc. have an electorate that is so foolish?

Democrats have only blocked 4% of Bush's Judicial Nominees. Yet, Dobson and the 'christian' Right are making it look as though we are planning a Holocaust for these 'christians'.

You know what, maybe the election wasn't stolen, maybe it was given to Bush because so many people are so incredibly stupid that they actually believe Robertson, Falwell, D. James Kennedy, Dobson, Perkins, Frist, DeLay, etc.

The vast majority of America does not know about:
Christian Reconstructionism
Dominionism
PNAC
'Rebuilding America's Defenses' AKA 'The New Pearl Harbor'
The Council for National Policy

Too many people believe that the media actually has a liberal bias and that Saddam Hussein had a hand in the 9/11 attacks.

Ignorance and Evil go hand in hand. Nazis promoted ignorance, the Taliban promoted ignorance, and the 'christian' Rightists call Intellectuals evil. Ignorance will destroy America.

We can save the nation but we have to act now.

Excellent post! But how do we save our nation when what you say is absolutely true - I'm in total agreement.

Rethugs knew, carefully monitoring American's hum-drumming thru life. And I thought 4 huge Baptist groups were against this crap today. Yet, I've seen nothing, absolutely nothing in the paper or on any news station today. Nothing on this.

What can we do to save our nation, because we're on the brink of Dictatorship if not already.

You are quite correct... now that they have succesfully labeled intellectuals as 'evil', 'elite', and 'manipulative', they have created an atmosphere of willful ignorance.

Yes - it's just about sewn up.

If you make sense to them (which I have done with a few 'fundies'), they just tune you out and go back to - "We'll I believe he's a moral man who is doing the right thing."

Hell, I even went so far as to send some of Hitler's quotes to my fundie friends. I edited the country, year, and speaker out of the quote and then asked if they agreed with what the speaker was saying.

Invariably they agreed with the speaker, one even guessed that it was Bush** who gave the speech.

When I told them, "No, that was Hitler in 1939.", they would respond with, "Well, but that was different - he just said that to fool people, but what he said was right."

We are doomed.

...but Jihad Sunday. Afterall, these Rapture nut jobs are the equivalent of the Taliban and should be treated like terrorists. Incidentally, what they are doing is seditious and treasoness and they will be held accountable one day. /sarcasm off
