"THE leader of a Muslim militia group says his fighters will not distinguish between Australian soldiers and their Coalition counterparts if fighting breaks out.

Sheik Muhnad al-Garayi, who heads forces loyal to firebrand cleric Muqtada al-Sadr in Samawah, says they are all occupiers and must go, one way or another.
"We hope the Australians are not going to be like the Americans and the Dutch," said Sheik Muhnad, who controls 500 armed fighters in the al-Muthanna province.

"We are a peaceful people – but if someone touches us, we will strike back. We will kill them if we have to." "
