Workers at a Harborside Healthcare in Wakefield, Massachusetts have voted to unionize their shop 41 to 22 and join the SEIU. What is the response from Harborside's union-busting lawyer? He says the primarily Haitian immigrant workers voted for a union because they thought if they didn't, they would have voodoo used against them. This is the case he is going to make at the National Labor Relations Board (which is run by Bush cronies).
Unbelievable! Racism has always been a tool used by the idle class to divide and rule the working class, but usually companies don't do these things so directly and blatantly.
What does Harborside's union-busting labor lawyer Jeffrey L. Hirsch say about this?
"It is because of our commitment to a free vote and our commitment not to have discrimination take place in the first place that these objections (to the 41-22 vote to unionize) were filed." What humanitarians!
