GOP analysis gives Rossi 100-vote win

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7567937/

Snip....Without ballots cast by felons, dead voters and non-citizens, Democratic Gov. Christine Gregoire would have lost the 2004 election to Republican Dino Rossi by about 100 votes, according to a statistical report cited by the GOP in its legal challenge to Gregoire's victory. But it's uncertain if the courts will buy the statistical arguments, which are a key to the GOP effort to overturn Gregoire's 129-vote win. Democrats say state law doesn't allow such arguments.....end

The REPUGS just wont let this one die......In my opinion if the PUGS studies show Rossi would have only won by 100 votes then he really isnt worth a crap and niether is is Gregior for that matter but Id rather have Gregior in office than Rossi.

What ever happend to defined dynamic in elections???

3. Where The Fvck Was MSNBC...
in 2000? Were they happily reprinting statistical reports cited by Democrats? I think not. Whores, the lot of them are.

4. No, they're not going to let this die.
Rove is behind this. He, as usual, plans to vilify the left as election cheats (throw mud to deflect from yourself strategy) and he plans to win. Also, the rightwing talk radio hosts in WA are doing their part to keep the Repub's agitated. So it's not going to go away, unfortunately. But if we're going to be smart about this we need to stop feeling like victims and instead use this as an opportunity to talk about fraud in the presidential election. This is the perfect platform or springboard for public (read: media) discussion.

7. No clear and convincing proof
I read a while back that the standard for overturning an election is clear and convincing proof and this does not met that standard.

The trial court let this case go to trial over the objections of the Democrats. There is a good argument that there is no jurisdiction for the trial court to rule on this matter and that issue will be litigated on appeal if the trial court rules against the Democratic candidate.

BTW, the law firm representing the democrats is an excellent firm.

10. And if they can use this,
we can certainly use our own analyses about Kerry's winning the last election. But no, we get labeled as nutcases.

12. All this is just to cloud the issue of election fraud
They just keep spewing this crap so that the issue gets turned into a bipartisan sin so most people will just ignore the people on the left pointing the systematic election fraud with 2000,2002,2004

13. Why didn't they file their challenge before the deadline?
Oh that's right, they didn't. Oops. Those pesky statutory deadlines are damned hard to get around, even for Republicans.

But if it pleases the Washington state GOP to waste their money pursuing this dead issue, that's just fine with me.
