Who CARES what Jesus would think about an individual?

Honestly, if Jesus had the kind of powers that are ascribed to him, surely he could damn well stand up and make his opinions known. And if he doesn't, well, why should we care what he would think anymore than we care what Mohammed, Lao Tzu, Ghandi, or any one of a number of wise individuals would think?

what I want to know is why you need to know why religious people care.

And that's only because the question keeps coming up everywhere I go on the net today.

3. I find it comical

that anybody on EITHER SIDE of the political spectrum can claim to know what Jesus would think about anything. We have a handful of statements attributed to him, that seem contradictory.

Any claim that people make regarding what Jesus would say or think should be treated with great skepticism. Much damage has been done by people who think they know such things.
