I'm SICK of people defending IKEA shoppers at DU.
And this goes for IKEA shoppers who are members of DU (who don't belong here).

Ingvar Kamprad was a fascist when he was young, people. If you don't believe me, get off your ass and read history. Here's an article if you're too busy to do a Google on "Ingvar Kamprad".

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ingvar_Kamprad

I am sick to death of fake DUers who see fit to continue to prop up this guy giving him money. Oh well, I guess we have to tolerate bigots now, including the bigots-by-proxy and their apartments full of cheap furniture. :grr:

What, you can't toss out your cheap coffee table and get another one and Goodwill? And you get to call yourselves progressives? :wtf:

NOTE: This post is sarcastic.

2. Yet take a close look at that wikipedia article.
He has since said that this was a part of his life that he bitterly regrets, calling it the greatest mistake of his life.

To my knowledge, Ratzinger has never said anything like that.

10. I'll recant here and now, even though...
I was born more than 25 years too late to be a Nazi.

Carry on with your biting sarcasm if it makes you feel better.

Can I buy a Nazi SS helmet at a garage sale and wear it around? Having IKEA furniture is like, the same thing.

I've been to the one in schaumburg IL, and all they seem to have is a bunch of ugly chotchkes(sp?), candles, and crappy flat-package "furniture"...

30. LOL!
"What, you can't toss out your cheap coffee table and get another one and Goodwill? And you get to call yourselves progressives?"

Crazily enough, a month ago I went shopping at GoodWill & Salvation Army for a coffee table and found them to be rather expensive for used furniture. Then I looked at press board crap offered by Target and the like. Finally settled on a table I really liked, that was the right size and only cost me $60....guess where I got it?
