Ever feel like you're in the middle of one of those big barfights in
Edited on Tue Apr-19-05 02:12 PM by tx_dem41
a Western? You're sitting at the bar sipping your yet-to-be-spilled beer and chaos is all around you. A bottle goes flying past your head and smashes into the mirror. A chair breaks across the head of the patron next to you. Yet you keep drinking your beer. Watch out for the body being flung over the bar!!!

Folks, I give you DU for today. Now let me get back to my beer.

7. Today it's cloudy and kind of muggy (for Dallas that is)....
being from New Orleans originally, its kind of dry. We had a mild winter for Dallas, and a dry spring so far. April and May is when we usually get nightly thunderboomers with tornadoes mixed in. How is the weather out your way?

Breezy... There's this pattern of thunderstorms every
weekend.

Had a horizontal tornado blow over the house last Saturday.
No damage.

I worked in ABQ for a summer in 1995 (at Kirtland AFB). The weather is quite different from where I grew up in New Orleans. When they said the current humidity was 7% I thought..."stupid radio guy"!!)

New Orleans is quite a bit different from here. I bet you miss

Red on my pizza.

Yeah, food there is great. I'm a huge seafood fan.
Especially fried Crawdads in a salad. Around here
they try to serve Crawdads and call them Lobster.

Oooo... I thought punching there was taboo.

I'm actually close to getting out of here (work) and going to a watering hole. Hope there are no real brawls there.

As for baseball, it appears my Rangers won! Astacio pitched 8 shutout innings. For once, an off-season pitching free agent signing might pay off.
