Your religion means nothing to me
And that's as it should be. Your religion is, after all, your religion. You need to make your own peace with it, you need to live your life in accordance with it, if you so choose. In the end, it's your religion. It means nothing to me.

7. They pledge to uphold the Constitution and should be impeached.
THEY are the radical activist judges we keep hearing about.

Laws are political.

5. And your atheism means nothing to me.
And that's as it should be. Your atheism is, after all, your atheism. You need to make your own peace with it, you need to live your life in accordance with it, if you so choose. In the end, it's your atheism. It means nothing to me.

12. I Guess You Missed The Point.
BTW, where does the OP mention atheism? The OP could be a Calvinist for all you know.

8. There are no absolutes.
Actually there isn't even anything such as "nothing".

Your definition of the word "means" is your definition, but that doesn't change the facts: you are affected by others.

Who/what-ever you are "means" nothing to me too, but I don't deny that you are a physical fact, and, thus, have an effect in a physical world.

9. Here Here!!!!
Absolutely! Religion (or lack of) is a deeply personal issue that should remain private.

17. Well, in some ways it's a deeply personal issue, but in some ways it's
also a cultural and public issue.

Welcome to DU!

10. Well, I do agree with you.
I want people to keep their religion in their churches and temples, and out of my community and government.

15. It's a liberal democratic forum and that's what's important to me.
I could go all day without hearing what someone actually believes, or doesn't, in the metaphysical.

But I didn't start a thread about it did I? It seems to me that of the two of us, you are indeed the one concerned with my religion and not the other way around.
