Republicans Just Love Welfare!
According to the GOP, and conservatives, state welfare is bad for people, like single mothers who despite working full time at some crappy minimum wage don't have the resources to provide a suitable development for their children.

Because welfare just encourages laziness. Screw the unlucky children who are born to lower class! The state shouldn't provide free health-care, or head start education, or free school lunches, or food stamps so this child may have a good development and possibly escape the cycle of poverty.

No if the state does anything to overcome these disadvantages the child and his mother would just become MORE LAZY. Welfare is bad!

This is exactly how a lot of conservatives think. Health care breeds laziness. Not going to bed hungry breeds laziness. Giving disadvantaged children free early education breeds laziness. These heartless conservatives ignore the mountains of research that prove these programs increase the likelihood the children of the lower class will move up into the middle class. Those studies are all just commie liberal propaganda. It's my money and I don't want it going to lazy welfare queens.

Besides, we have no money! Haven't you seen the federal deficit? Our country is broke!

This just in from the Washington Post:

The House this week will consider $8 billion in tax breaks targeted to the energy industry at a time when some of those companies are enjoying soaring profits from high consumer prices.

The vast majority of the tax breaks would benefit companies that produce and supply traditional forms of energy, with a large portion going to the oil and natural gas sector.

As it turns out the GOP actually loves welfare, as long it's Corporate Welfare earmarked for the GOP's environment-destroying cronies in the oil and gas industries.

This is an industry that makes billions of years in profit! But yeah I suppose the need welfare. Just like Warren Buffet and Bill Gates need food stamps.

Children don't need a healthy diet to grow up with proper mental function, they don't need health care to correct vision or hearing deficits so they can absorb what they taught. They don't need a head start with education so they don't fall behind. We don't want to make them lazy!

The GOP needs the lower class to stay exactly where they are. They need people to work those Walmart slave wages. The Walton family isn't nearly rich enough. THEY NEED MORE.

The Right Wing has made LIBERAL into a dirty word and the LEFT must do everything we can to make anyone think twice before calling themself Republican or conservative. They are greedy, uncaring, and unamerican.

2. Someone yesterday called it what it is: WEALTHfare
It consists of fattening the rich on the sweat of our brows and at every level. It comes of criminializing poverty so that the poor will no longer be worthy of sympathy or support.
