Here is how to find cheaper gas in your area.....
I posted this in my long gas line thread but I wanted to help people who may not read it.

Go to http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/gasprices/states/index.shtml and click on your state. Find the area closest to you and it will tell you where to find the cheapest gas in your area.

Hope this helps some of you.

2. This is so stupid
again the American people are caught in a GD game of the oil freaks. We have to run around the city to find low gas prices? What is happening in this world? Who is getting their kicks watching people scramble for low prices. Our country is sick, really sick.

3. I am sorry you think it is stupid.
I was honestly just trying to help. I have been using that site, for the last four or five years, to find out who has the cheapest gas. I just thought it would be nice to share. I always thought it was kind of cool that so many people take part, with that site, and report what prices are the lowest in their area. I have always appreciated it. Maybe someone else will too?

4. Take it as a rhetorical rant, "this" meaning situation, not you
"this is so stupid" meaning it is stupid that we have to scramble and figure out how to pay for gas. Not that you are stupid for posting this website. If I lived in one of the cities it gives, I'd use it. Thanks.

Upon rereading it, of course that is what you meant. Thanks for answering my post. I appreciate it.

was being called stupid, rather the situation...of millions of us in the richest nation having to scramble to save pennies.

And I appreciate the link.
Thanks!

edit to add; It figures . . . the cheapest price in So. Calif. is in Beverly Hills!
It's twue, it's twue -- the rich get ALL the breaks.

5. every gas station in our town has the same price!
there are one or two that are 2 cents cheaper, but other than that, it's not worth driving to the other end of town for that savings. and that is a recent phenomenon, within the last few years. before that, when you saw one station change prices, they all did.

7. Wow!
I could drive an hour to Freepertown to buy gas that's 20 cents cheaper!

(I'd rather spend the two extra dollars at the pump than spend 2 hours in scary "state sponsored highway of death" traffic.)
