Jim Davis is running for governor. He refused to answer me when I talked to his aide for 30 minutes. I never heard back. I called the other day, I was told he was undecided...but he was voting at that moment. Davis was head of the NDC of the DLC. I can swear Kendrick Meek was DLC as well, but can't find him on the list.

1. In two years, they will be back to change the law
A prediction from a bankruptcy judge I spoke with the other day. If you make over the median income in the state you live in and have a financial setback like large uninsured medical expenses, long layoff, or your small business fails, you are screwed to the wall.

For those who haven't followed it, you will be forced into a five year debt repayment plan and allowed to live on the IRS standards for subsistence, which means that you won't have enough money to live on so your case will be dismissed. When your case is dismissed, your creditors are free to pick you apart, seize your bank accounts, garnish your wages (in states that allow it) foreclose on your home, etc etc etc.

SHAME on the dems and the 'moderate' republicans who voted for this claptrap.

2. Damn - I was at a gathering with Jim Davis tonight
I wish I had known this. He stopped by our table to ask us for our support. I would have given him my opinion on the bill.
