I have a question about the unemployment figures
Edited on Mon Apr-18-05 07:57 PM by rpannier
I was wondering if anyone has done any research on what will(would) happen to the unemployment numbers if (when) the soldiers in Iraq come home. I am guessing that the jobs that were held by the National Guardsmen and Reservists that are in Iraq are being filled by other people. When they come back won't someone be out of a job? What happens to these people?
I'm curious if anyone has investigated this.
(I'm in Korea and I am curious.)

1. Yep, classic lassie faire capitalism when wars wind down.....
...a major recession follows. That's why Bush wants another fight in Iran, then North Korea than who knows where else. Otherwise this one will take a special place in the history books as the "mother of all depressions"!
