nzl media thinks Joseph Ratzinger will be Pope
Edited on Mon Apr-18-05 07:18 PM by brettdale
The NewZealand media is picking Joseph Ratzinger will be the new pope. They are saying he is ultra right wing and is totally against the chruch going with new trends. Our media is also saying they will announce it within the hour.

I thought it takes weeks??

1. They're almost as unprofessional as the Italian press.

3. Without a link we are unable to determine what idiot in NZ wrote that
It is way too soon to tell. And there will be no news today, in an hour, or seven, for that matter.

Don't they have Catholics in NZ? That is perhaps the most uninformed statement (announce within the hour? They're DONE for the day, they've had their dinner, their little chats, and they're in BED by now) I've seen about the process, perhaps ever!

5. It was on television
It was just on television on a news show. Its 1226pm here as I write this, and they went live to Rome and the reporter just said it.

6. The network should fire that reporter!
A bit too much digestivo after the evening meal, perhaps?

8. Zionist Pope?
The next Pope will definitely be socially conservative, not a leader who revises scripture to fit the social atmosphere. The fundies are hoping for one who hates Muslims and supports greater Israel. Wouldn't they love a divisive Pope who wants more war in the middle east? That's all we need.
