Veterans for Peace in Concord, MA
The Smedley D. Butler Brigade of the Veterans for Peace took part in the Patriot’s Day Parade in Concord, MA this morning. It was a beautiful spring day in New England.

Our brigade had the distinct honor of being the only registered group in the parade not to be acknowledged when passing the reviewing stand. The ‘sting’ of being ignored by the reviewing stand was more than offset by copious amounts of applause and cheering all along the route.

Coming over the Concord Bridge (yes, THAT Concord bridge)

2. I admire your restraint
I would have probably given them a one-fingered acknowledgement for the snub. Pure horse crap!

3. It really wasn't difficult to ignore being ignored by the 'officials.'
The crowd more than made up for it. Besides - the correct response is to flash them the peace sign with a big smile.

4. Great Pictures
I love seeing these guys standing up for what's right, and delighted to hear that the crowds were with them.
(I grew up in Lexington, and in April I miss my old stomping grounds)
