2. Kay Maxwell/League of Women Voters not for Verifiable Paper Trails
she specifically said that. She wants big money from Government to create "Design over Performance." (I wrote that down ...Design over Performance..?????) She stated we need to bring our voting equipment into the 21st Century by putting all our resources into designing efficient voting machines but she emphasized that a paper trail for recount was not in their proposal.

So....she's on board with the Baker Group. Really bad news. :-(

4. Glad I never joined the LWV - they always seemed a truly elitist
organization (overlapping membership w/Junior League, etc.)

14. Many of the chapters are "in revolt" as I understand it.
Our local chapter made an impashioned speech for VVPB to restore the voter confidence at our state hearing for VVPB bill.

8. LWV used to be a pretty good group all in all
I wouldn't belong to it now if you paid me. NOW and Planned Parenthood care more about women voters than LWV.

Maxwell is a threat to democracy in my opinion. Lining up with Baker just proves it.

5. Baker is laughing and smirking....I kid you not...and Carter seems
engaged with Carter. I'm trying to listen and watch but this whole thing seems like a joke to me. Especially Baker's handling of it. He's conrolling how long people speak and directing the whole hearing while laughing and smirking..

6. "Well, we've counted the votes once, twice, three times...."
Wasn't Jim Baker the person that said that during the Florida recounts. Naturally he would think it funny. I can't understand why anyone would sit on a panel with him concerning anything to do with counting votes???

13. So far... it looks like it's a coverup/diversion from election fraud
The next session will really tell the story of the true intentions of this commission.

BTW: John Fund? check out his REAL bio here:

According to him, the Dems do most of the cheating.

20. It seems like a joke
They're just trying to dismiss "consperiacy theories." If they were serious where is Arnebeck, Cobb and Jackson?

17. Good testimony... but
He implied that Bush won. He said the only reason this election is not under litigation is that the magin of victory was greater than the margin of error.

Too bad... but otherwise a great talk.
