Senior Republican Says DeLay Won't Quit as Leader
Just saw this article on Yahoo, hopefully someone hasn't posted this yet. Don't know whether this is good or bad for the democrats. But something I for one expected, couldn't see this scandalous neocon giving up.

snip
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A senior House Republican said on Sunday he thought embattled Majority Leader Tom DeLay would stay on in his post despite the cloud of ethical allegations swirling around him....

"Tom DeLay will stay as leader," said Rep. Roy Blunt (news, bio, voting record) of Missouri, the No. 3 Republican in the U.S. House of Representatives. "Tom DeLay is not going to run away from a fight," he told NBC's "Meet the Press."

3. This is a good thing
...and I hope he hangs on for another, oh, 18 months. I'm delighted to be able to continue beating this bastard like a pinata.

Here's a Big-Ass Clue to every single Democrat running for office in the entire country:

Tie Tom DeLay around the neck of your opponent. Starting now.

4. Keep talking Mr. Blunt
Your hands are just as dirty has Tom's. It will be a pleasure to watch all of you connected with this go down.

6. There is a Demo who is going to run against DeLay ..............
next year. His name is Richard Morrison. I'll find out more about him. But he's not afraid of DeLay.

8. I hope not either
Especially since there's so much to use against him. It would be nice to see a democrat instead of DeLay.

Yeah. I hope, in a certain way, that a Demo can beat him on election day.

11. remember all the past ads from "George Bush Conservatives"
if he stays, Democrats can paint their opponents as "Tom DeLay Conservatives" and most of them can quote $$$

however, Ronnie Earle ain't sung yet

12. Good. He's one smelly fish I'd like to keep in the public eye.
This slimeball is the quintessential turd in the punchbowl for the Thugs, let's keep him in the limelight.

13. Come On Tommy...You're A Gift That Keeps Giving
There's so many ways Democrats can use this guy to wedge Repugnicans or make them feel awfully uncomfortable, and do to them what the GOOP has gotten so good at labeling Democrats.

Besides the sleezy nature of DeLay's doings...which will continue to drip out, since there's so much about his corrupt campaign and PACs to investigate, there's also the ham-handed way this goon comes across. It might play great in Roastbeef, Texas, but it sure doesn't resonate in many other red areas outside of the deep south...and even then there's a mistrust of Texans.

We need to find paper trails on this slimeball...tie him to all the hypocricies, since he, along with Rove, are the masters at spinning them. Time now to return the spin, since this weasel will overplay if he's goaded. Let's keep goading and goading.

Initially people didn't want to believe Clinton was "corrupt" (and he wasn't), but goons like DeLay and his right wing propaganda machine kept the noise up constantly so it became assumed it was truth...we need to do the same with DeLay...and then see how he cracks like a walnut when the paper trail starts to burn others along the way.

Yep, Blunt's DeLay's number 2 hack...his henchman...but ironically, I can see him being another lizzard who wouldn't mind DeLay going down so he can grab all that cash and power. Playing good soldier works well when you're looking to circle the carcass. DeLay should be very wary of those who aren't saying a word these days.
