From Words to Action: What are YOU doing about it?
I think one of the problems with websites is that we often get caught up in our own ideas, but have trouble actually turning our words into actions that make a difference. We may whine about television coverage, but how many of us have taken the time to contact the networks and express our frustration?

I am but one person, yet even the smallest gesture can have a significant impact on the rest of the world. Please post here the things which you are actively doing about "it" (whatever "it" may be).

WAIDAI = What Am I Doing About It?

Here's my contribution:

1. I will reply because...
I used to avoid these threads because I was one who posted my outrage and did nothing but talk to other people. Now I am a veteran of the local political process. I worked hours for our city wide "Vote No" campaign and became volunteer staff on the campaign to defeat the Fred Phelps ballot initiative. We won and have been told by several Democratic leaders in our state that it was the best run campaign they had ever seen. I moved from there to work for a city councilwoman on her reelection (she lost, it became nothing more than a vote on her sexuality) and the Vote No campaign on the Marriage Amendment, lost that too. I have now been elected to the board of our city's Equal Justice Coalition. We have all been in the media here talking about these issues, at least they give us 30 seconds here and there. So, for the first time I can answer WAIDAI with pride!

6. "I am spartacus."
The entire system exists to repress individual enlightenment, something
that is so threatening, that a world religion is based on 1 enlightened
guy who "the system" brutally murdered, and the sick rationalization
of that murder.

Awakening to being awareness is a profoundly political act. Everyone
has their dharma, their place in this great cosmic play. Enlightenment
knows this. Follow what is in your deepest heart of hearts and you
can't go wrong, no matter what it is... no matter what political vogue
appears... trust life itself is perfect with or without your actions.

Being a good slave, cleaning up the master's doo doo, might get you
kudos and a medal, rather direct awareness is the radical end to
enslavement by the ego on the wheel of life in death, here. now.

7. That's Great, Rev!
Keep fighting the good fight. I love that link for your Sunday sermon.
My son and I founded The CAI-Coalition Against Injustice, (pretty self-explanatory). It keeps us busy, (that's why I'm rarely here during daytime).
Response #1 is good, too!
