Why am I not convinced that the garbage man killed Christa Worthington?
Edited on Fri Apr-15-05 11:24 PM by hector459
I know his seaman may have been found at the scene and supposedly a DNA match was made. But since when does having sex (rape has been charged but without proof) = murder. AND it was stated that the DA decided to not even test most of the other DNA collected.

My question is whether or not OTHER DNA was present? AND what is the story about having this man's DNA for over a year and not testing it? I have heard two versions of this story on two different cable news shows.
AND Nancy Grace was all ready to pronounce this man quilty of rape and murder.

Methinks there is much more to this story. Now, don't get me wrong, the man may be guilty but there has to be more to this story.

This is the part of the newspaper story that made me go hmmmm.....

"Worthington's father, Christopher ``Toppy'' Worthington, had taken up with a 29-year-old drug-addicted ex-hooker, Elizabeth Porter, a relationship his daughter despised. The couple also was scrutinized by investigators." http://news.bostonherald.com/localRegional/view.bg?articleid=78619

1. It's a neat legal issue
The Truro cops decided to do a "random" collection of DNA from men in the area.

I can't even begin to see how that's going to survive Constitutionally.

2. I think his DNA was collected some time ago and stalled in the--
backlog of the state crime lab.

He was not involved in the random testing last month, which was voluntary.

The entire thing is a damned mess.

4. He volunteered to do the test
a long time ago and then did the test a month later. It was not part of the random tests.

3. This will occupy the media
when the * administration needs some more cover for their crimes. Expect a highly publicized trial and saturation media coverage that will displace other, "less important" news. The accused appears to have no ability to hire splashy defense lawyers, so I expect some will be induced to represent him pro bono, assuming Karl approves of this particular tragedy as a distraction for the masses.

Feeling particularly cynical tonight...time for bed.
