"Kick their ass and take their gas. We're fighting for our Freedom"
A dumbass bumpersticker I just saw in SoCal.

2. In a way, it's true (in a perverse sense)
The only freedom that matters anymore is the freedom to pursue "the American way of life". That is, an auto-centric culture of quick-lubes, strip malls and mind-numbing suburbia where shopping is the primary hobby.

If you use that definition, then "kicking their ass and taking their gas" actually IS defending our "freedoms".

It's just too bad that none of it matters anymore. The Saudi oil fields have most likely reached peak production, and Western oil companies aren't discovering any new significant deposits.

In a word, we're fucked.

5. That is the most honest public assessment of the freeper position
I have ever seen. "our freedom" is a code word for the "freedom" to drive a truck/suv as much as you fucking please at practically no cost to them. It's the only "freedom" that those assholes understand.

How about the old bumper sticker "ass gas or grass, nobody rides for free" back in the days of hitch hiking.

11. They need one of these, too.

Seriously. They make magnets. I've thought of ordering a few to stick on to an especially deserving car.

14. But, but, but Saddam pulled off 9/11!
Edited on Thu Apr-14-05 02:57 PM by Rob H.
And him 'n Osama were workin' together! Or at least they woulda been, if they didn't actually hate each other.

And they had WMDs! Or at least they wanted 'em. Or saw a pitcher o' one once. Or thought about doin' a pencil drawin' o' one on a cocktail napkin.

And they have democracy now! Or at least the Bush-administration-sanctioned version of it, and dang it, if'n that's good enough fer us, why ain't it good enough fer them?

Why, oh, why do you hate America?

:sarcasm:

:P :P ;)
