Instead, you might see: Abortion Clinic Bomber to be Sentenced

or

Bomber Pleads Guilty in Return for Life Sentence

or maybe

Atlanta Olympics Bomber and Fugitive to be Sentenced

you might even see

Total Fucking Nutjob to Be Sentenced

What you will **not** see is use of the word "terrorist"

I mean, come on now ..... this is a white guy. An American. A Christian, fer krissakes. How could he be a terrorist? On our own soil (fight 'em there before we have to fight 'em here).

Webster sez:
Main Entry: ter·ror·ism
Pronunciation: 'ter-&r-"i-z&m
Function: noun
: the systematic use of terror especially as a means of coercion
- ter·ror·ist /-&r-ist/ adjective or noun
- ter·ror·is·tic /"ter-&r-'is-tik/ adjective

Dictionarydotcom sez:
ter·ror·ist Audio pronunciation of "terrorist" ( P ) Pronunciation Key (trr-st)
n:One that engages in acts or an act of terrorism.
adj: Of or relating to terrorism.
and
terrorist
adj : characteristic of someone who employs terrorism (especially as a political weapon); "terrorist activity"; "terrorist state" n : a radical who employs terror as a political weapon; usually organizes with other terrorists in small cells; often uses religion as a cover for terrorist activities

Hey Mediamothefuckers .... wake the fuck up. This guy is as much a terrorist as Osama. He's a religious whackjob bent on changing hearts and minds by blowing them up, okay?

He's a FUCKING TERRORIST!!!!!! YOU ASSHOLES! (Yes that was yelling ..... cuz I'm fucking pissed, okay?)

Instead, I heard on Olberman's show some fuckhead say he got to plead down cuzza dynamite. Yup, dynamite .... see, sez this guy ... Rudolph .. that bomberguy ... like he had lotsa dynamite an' he buried it and shit .... an ... you know .... some boy scouts might be out ... like camping and stuff ... and pounding tent stakes ... and like ... maybe ... like they might hit his old dynamite ... so the FBI allowed him to plead so's he'd tell 'em where he buried it and stuff ... cuz ... well .... ah ... ya see ...... he's a Christian ... an ......

WHAT?????? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME???????????

The world is MAD ... whacky, fucked up, mad.

AND SO AM I!!!!!!!!!

FUCK YOU MEDIA WHORES

FUCK YOU FUNDIEFUCKERS!!!!

I can't believe he was cut a nice quiet deal and didn't have to face a trial. OUTRAGEOUS! :grr: on edit: a more appropriate headline would be: "Terrorist Admits to Multple Bombings, Cut Sweetheart Deal to Spare Life"

I'm lamenting the fact that he never went to trial and there was no media circus. I don't support the DP.

5. Feel better?
I know I feel better after reading your rant! You said a mouthful!!! And, the saddest thing, is it is all true! If he had been Black...dead! A Muslim...dead! A woman...dead! A gay man...dead! I also have wondered if he even had to plead to the lesbian bar bombing or if that "charge" was dropped.

GREAT RANT!!!!!

9. He had dynamite stacked away which he was threatening to use
Do you really want to take the chance that one of his nutty friends would not have been told where the dynamite is and used it? Innocent people should not be having their lives risked to satisfy your emotional satisfaction of knowing that he was killed.

It makes no difference whether he spends the rest of his miserable life in jail, or if he receives a lethal injection after ten years of appeals. Either way he is no longer a harm to society, which is all that's important. The only difference is that you would be more emotionally satisfaction to see him killed. Well, I'm sorry that this is not the Wild West, and that you will have to settle for knowing that he will never be responsible for any more deaths.

Personally, I think we are safer by having him get life in prison. Not only do we not risk one of his buddies using dynamite to blow up more gay bars or abortion clinics, but there is also less of a risk of a fundies/white supremacist juror refusing to convict him and hanging the jury.

12. Uhm, it is
He had dynamite stacked away somewhere in the south east of the United States - that should be no problem finding:eyes:

Seriously, there is no reason to believe that he would not have called one of his buddies to use the dynamite. You don't think that it's possible that he would have the courthouse bombed which sented him? Maybe he wouldn't have, and his threats were completely bogus, but that is not a chance worth taking. In light of this information, I would be outraged if our gov't had insisted on the death penalty.

13. I meant that dynamite isn't hard to buy..
if you can buy Russian machine guns, you can find dynamite. Finding weapons is not exactly a problem in this country.

Edited on Thu Apr-14-05 08:08 AM by Husb2Sparkly
Where do I discuss the death penalty? Wanna tell me? Cuz I talked about him pleading down?

He pleaded down and out of A TRIAL. He Pleaded down to make it TOO FUCKING QUIET. He was allowed to plead down based on orders from up on high so as to keep the FUNDIES happy (don't wanna kill one of god's warrior heros, yanno).

My bitch is that no one is calling him what he is .... a "terrorist".

If you wanna debate the death penalty, that's fine. But start your own thread. Don't hijack mine .... k?

15. White people cannot be considered "terrorists."
Even after they have blown up the Olympics and killed innocents.

Now black and brown people, especially Muslims, ARE "terrorists" -- even if they are innocent, and even if they have not been charged or given due process of law.

In fact, white non-terrorists who blow up Olympics and kill innocent people get to issue statements to the press as to their political slant and motive for committing what-we-won't-call-terrorism.

Innocent black and brown people who are labelled as "terrorists" are secreted away and never heard from again, and may even be held for life, apparently, based solely on their beliefs and no intent to commit violence.

These are known as political prisoners.

16. Hold on to your hats - the one person calling him a terrorist is ...
the Attorney General!

U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales defended the plea agreement, saying it served "the best interests of justice.

"The many victims of Eric Rudolph's terrorist attacks in Atlanta and Birmingham can rest assured that Rudolph will spend the rest of his life behind bars," Gonzales said in press release.

http://www.cnn.com/2005/LAW/04/08/rudolph.plea/

A few editorials call him a terrorist:
One more domestic terrorist (Toledo Blade)
Sparing a Terrorist (Louisville Courier-Journal)

20. Noticed it, too.
not one mention of the word terrorist in the NYT or Seattle Times.

yet a local arson where an "ELF sign" was found nearby? they went to ECO-TERRORISM immediately.

i no longer think its a concious effort on the part of the MSM. they now just think in the terms Bush & Fox have defined.
